Favorite Cville Spot(s): Grit at Stonefield for Cold Brew and work time. Grace Family Vineyards for beautiful country drives and amazing views in a laid back environment. The two best “Oaks” in town: Oakhurst Inn for breakfast & Oakhart Social for treat your self dinners.
Favorite First Year Memory: Ahhh - it is impossible to choose. Seeing Darden covered in snow on our one and only Snow Day in January. Eating dumplings on the Rotunda steps. Taking “turns about the yard” to count the flowers during Second Coffee on warm sunny days. Watching Section A clinch Darden Cup in the pouring rain! Getting class credit for doing research on the Monticello Wine Trail. Filling an entire sushi bar with Darden-ites at 8 am our first morning in Tokyo. Having many a stressful day made better by hanging with Learning Team #36.

Section: D’best section!
Favorite Cville Spot(s): A perfect day would start out with a class at TreadHAPPY and coffee at Grit, include some seriously addictive salad at Roots and a little (or a lot) of Crose in the sunshine at King’s Family Vineyards, then end with a ‘fancy old fashioned’ at the Whiskey Jar and whatever Darden event was happening that night
Favorite First Year Memory: Brews and bocche ball on a Tuesday just because, screaming the Section D cheer every morning just a little bit louder than Section C, homemade brunch and sledding in January, reading cases outside in the sunshine in February, hiking the Inca Trail with classmates over spring break, uncontrollable laughter and comradery in Section D, rediscovering my inner child in the trampoline room at Jump, captaining the truly most delinquent bowling team of all time, dancing around a bonfire after a day spent at the Charlottesville beer festival, finding an anonymous note from my section mates with words of encouragement during a particularly hard week

Favorite Cville Spot(s): Too many to name but here’s a few: Mas Tapas, Lampo, Continental Divide are a few favorite eats. Draft Taproom and Kardinal Hall for some great brews. Vineyards and incredible views: King’s Family, Veritas, and bit less well-known but just as good: Wisdom Oak Winery. And, when you’re in the mood for some of the best garlic bread and pizza around: Dr. Ho’s Humble Pie.
Favorite First Year Memory: Honestly, any section B event is a contender. If I had to pick some favorites they’d include the first time the second-year Section B-ers charged into our section and taught us the Song, the Neon party, and the BGiA auction. I can’t leave out a vineyard tour with close friends towards the end of Q3, and a Section B girls wine and s’mores night in Q1 either.

Favorite Cville Spot(s):Lampo, best pizza in town! I actually prefer it over NYC pizza Favorite First Year Memory: Not sure I can choose one. But here's my attempt: Sitting at Flaggerbefore learning team on a Sunday afternoon with my 3-month old Golden Retriever (yes, I got a puppy while at Darden!) and my amazing learning team having ice cream. I wouldn't have made it through first year if it weren't for them! Also, going to a vineyard in the middle of the week just because was pretty awesome. Oh, and going to Mexico and Japan for fun and for the first time to both or to NYC and Chicago to interview. As stressing as it was supposed to be, being in an airplane surrounded by people who believe in you makes you feel super special.

Favorite Cville Spot(s): Fridays After Five on the downtown mall in the fall, Blenheim Vineyards, Starr Hill Brewery, and the Darden patio and courtyards in the spring
Favorite First Year Memory: If I had to choose only one, it’d be the spur of the moment pot luck dinners during exam periods - lots of food, wine, and laughter. The first one during Q1 was when it hit me just how great the Darden community is!
